Nocturnal Rain-story one

It’s night outside a large black building in the downtown district. The building is surrounded and barricaded by police on the ground and in the air with helicopter circling the higher floors inside people are on the floor face down with their hands behind their head inside a secluded room with a few members of the villains group holding a gun over them. In another room, two heavy armored unmanned Mecha exosuits faced outward at a large glass window looking out into the cityscape. A female member of the villain group sits at a computer hacking into it while a male companion stands behind her looking over her shoulder.

Man: how long before you can hack into the data echo 2

Woman: should be another 15 minutes echo 1

Man: perfect

Outside rain stands on top a higher build, her arms are folded as she is looking down and studying the situation

Rain: This shouldn’t take long.

Elsewhere in the secluded room with the hostages a pair of hands reached through the floor, grabs one of the criminals by the feet, and pulls him down through the floor. Masume leaps through the floor with his two handguns in hand, before the other criminals has a chance to react Masume fires in all direction hitting them all in the head
Masume looks over the crowd who glance up stunned at what they saw.

Masume: relax folks; the bullets are non-lethal bullets. They’ll be out for a few hours. Now just follow my orders to the letter and we’ll have this situation under control soon.

Outside rain rides her motorcycle off the roof; she crashes her bike through the window and into two of the Mecha guarding the window pinning them into the ground on their back and sliding them on the ground into a nearby wall. She leaps off the bike pulling out her sword in mid air, she lands on her feet a runs towards them. The Mecha lifts off her bike and tosses it at her. She leaps over her bike and pulls out her gun. The Mecha get up standing side-by-side begin firing their guns at rain, she raises her forearm, and her sword to shield her face, the laser blasts bounced off her costume. She leaps up into the air over the laser blast looking down at the Mecha; she shoots the Mecha at the far left in the head with her gun. As she lands slashes the Mecha on the right four times, the arms fall off first followed the head and the torso leaving the legs as the only part standing upright. Rain walks away from the pile of Mecha parts.

Rain: The Cops can clean up this mess; I just want your boss.

Back in the computer room, Echo 2 snaps her finger triumphantly at the computer screen.

Echo 2: yes, I finally got it.

Echo 1 looks around fearfully.

Echo 2: echo2, I should have a hard copy in two minutes.

Echo1: excellent work echo 2, you may be the only getting out of here tonight.

Echo 2 raises her eyebrow in confusion

Echo 2 mounts her hand glider on the rooftop putting on a black helmet, Rain erupts through the rooftop on her bike. Echo one leaps off the build, rain leaps with her bike off the roof following behind her. Rain grabs echo two’s foot and pulls her down Rain lands on a rooftop slamming echo 2 to the ground. Echo 2 staggers to her feet; she looks at her watch and sees it’s broken. Rain stands in front of her looking at her eye to eye.

Rain: you’re all out of options little crook, you have multiple broken bones and a concussion. I sure your gadgets are broken so don’t try to bluff me. It’s over now.

Echo 2: I still got on more gadget left. Car, teleport one now!

Echo teleports off the building and into a trans-am black car in an alleyway. Inside the car she lies back in the seat.

Echo 2: drive, escape route 134.

The car starts up and rives off meanwhile rain looks down from the high rise roof top into the alleyway.

Rain: Great, I’m sure he’ll blame me for this.

Inside the car echo 2 removes her helmet, flops her head back in the seat, and inserts the cd into her car, a small cell phone in the dash board rings.

Voice: do you have it echo 2?

Echo 2: yes sir, the echoes never fail a mission for a client.

Voice: excellent, when can I expect the package?

Echo 2: tonight, then I’m going to a hospital, in disguised of course.

Voice: of course, Payment will be delivered upon delivery, over and out.

Elsewhere Masume stands on top of a building later at night looking on to the city skyline with his arms folded holding a tan folder in his right hand. Behind him rain is flying in on her motorcycle, she lands skidding on her bike towards, she stops herself just at the back of his legs. Rain gets off the bike and walks in front of Masume face standing nonchalantly

Rain: so how many laws did I break this time?

Masume: let’s see, driving with reckless abandon, assault with a deadly weapon, destruction to public property, interference with police procedures, and speeding.

Rain: you really wanted to charge me with speeding don’t you?

Masume: no, I’m not going to charge you with anything Rain, not yet.

Masume hands her a folder and disk.

Masume: take this Rain; this is a copy of the schematics of the data that was stolen. Now, what do you have for me?

Rain: my sources tell me that the stolen data was sold to Edward Plaxico. He is an American Criminal and demolitionist.

Masume clinches his teeth, snapped his fingers, and turns his head around disgusted.

Masume: damn, I’ll have to request the file from Interpol…

Rain hands Masume a red disk, Masume turns his head back towards Rain.

Rain: already taken care of, I read it on the way here.

Masume raises his eyebrow humorously at Rain and he takes the disk.

Masume: One of these days, I will convince you to become a cop.

Rain turns, walks away, and mounts her bike.

Rain: If you knew more about me, you wouldn’t believe that.

Rain rides off the rooftop leaping into the city skyline.

Elsewhere inside an office building two people walk through Edward’s office door.  Edward has his seat turned away from them sitting behind a large desk with the blinds closed.

Edward: I want you too to test my new product.  Have fun and be very active, I’ll be monitoring everything from my car.

Masume is driving in his patrol car through the streets.  His phone rings, he picks it’s up answers while continuing to drive.

Masume: Masume?

Voice: good evening officer Masume, I am mar45 and I have a copying of the technology that was stolen tonight.  If you want it back you can track this number to it’s source.  

Mars45 stands in a dark room looking outside a window.

Mars45: I will be waiting on the fifth floor and please bring no back up.  

He smirks to himself.

Mars45: Well except maybe Rain, my partner needs a challenge.

Mars45 hangs up the phone.  Mary65 stands behind him in the background.

Mary65: you think he’ll show.

Mars45: he’s too much of a cop not to.

Later inside a dark business building Masume walks through an elevator doors.

Rain: you know you sure are slow.

Masume looks over to his right sarcastically and smirks.

Masume I was performing proper protocols.

Suddenly a hand grabs Masume’s feet and pulls him through the floor.  Rains looks down into the hole and sees Mars45 holding Masume by the throat.

Rain: hang on I’ll be…

Rain pulls out her sword and swings it behind her.  She hits six black hexagonal disks that formed a shield with her sword.  Mary65 is standing behind them and smirking manically at her.  

Mary65: I would worry about yourself first Rain.


Masume is thrown to the floor head first by mars45. He reaches into his pocket, pulls out his gun and fires at mars45.  The disks that orbit around mars45 forms a shield in front of him blocking and reflect the bullets back to Masume.  Masume rolls out of the way of the reflected gun fire.  He looks up and sees the disks liquefied and fused together to form a large hand gun in mars45 right hand, he points it at Masume.  

Mars45: I guess you need a demonstration of my gun.

He fires the gun at Masume blowing a huge chuck into the floor.  Meanwhile mary65 disks blocking rain’s sword forma spike-like tendrils and shoot at Rain’s face.  Rain pushes off and leaps out of the way of the tendrils spikes.  The disks liquefied and merge into a large broadsword.

Mary65: care to try me now Rain.

Rain charges at Mary65 and swings her sword, Mary65 blocks Rain’s sword holding it in place and pinning it back towards Rain.  She smirks at Rain’s face.  Rain’s eyes flashed white looking at Mary65.

Rain: you shouldn’t let me get this close to you.  I know your secret now.

Mary65 stares back at her upset; she grabs Rain by her Jacket and tosses her out of a glass window.  Mary65 walks up to the window and looks out in disgusts.

Mary65: I guess you found out a little too late Rain.

Rain leaps through the window on the other side of the room on her bike; she’s descending towards Mary 65.  Rain leaps off her bike in midair; she pulls out handgun while performing her flip and points it at Mary65.  The six hexagon disks block Rain’s bike from landing on her.  Mary65 looks up at Rain in shock and stunned, Rain fires it at Mary65 right Hand blowing it completely off.  

Mary: AHHHH!!!!!!

Mary falls to her knees looking at her right arm horrified and stun as the wires and exposed circuitry sparks uncontrollably.  She looks up and sees Rain standing over her.

Rain: goodnight.

Rain punches her in the face knocking her out.  She turns and looks down the hole where Masume fell; she sees him on his knees on the ground trying to catch his breath.  Masume looks up at Rain; she wiggles her fingers on her right hand at him.  Mars45 looks down at him holding his gun to his head and smirking manically at him.

Mars45: yes detective, the control mechanism for the nano shields is in my right hand.  I’m very interested to see how you’re going to stop me.

Masume gets up to his feet holding his left arm; he smirks at him.  

Masume: finish me you punk; do it with your bare hands.

Mars45: I’ll be happy to oblige.

Mars45 balls up his right fist and swings at Masume’s head.  Masume catches the fist begins to squeezes the fist at the wrists.  Mars45 glares horrified; Masume slowly lowers Mars45 hand.

Mars45: how are you doing this?

Masume: sorry pal, you should have been paying more attention to detail.

Masume rips off his hand.  Mars45 falls to his knees before Masume staring at his right arm horrified.

Masume: you have a choice pal, allow me to read you your rights or I’ll rip out another body part.  Chose wisely please otherwise I will have to relieve you of another part.  The next won’t be as useless as a hand.

The police are at the building taking Mars45 and mary65 in an ambulance.  Elsewhere Rain and Masume looks down from the city skyline from a rooftop.  Masume leans over staring downward while Rain stands behind him with her arms folded.

Masume: how did you know the control mechanism was in his right hand?

Rain: I played detective Masume.  Each time they try to attack us it was with their right hands.  And I scan her body which answers my suspicions.

Masume turns and smiles at Rain:

Masume: Yeah, I guess that help didn’t it.

Rain: so how did you rip off Mars45 hand Masume?

Masume: can’t tell you Rain.

Rain walks over to her bike and mounts it.

Rain: you know this is why I won’t be a cop.

Masume walks towards with his hands over his head embarrassed

Masume: oh come on, you’re not mad at me are you?
Rain turns back to Masume

Rain: tell you what detective I’ll make you a deal, tell me a secret about you and I’ll tell you one about me, deal?

Masume: I guess I can give that a try.

Rain rides off the building on her bike. Masume walks over to the edge of the building and looks down sadden.

Masume: I don’t know if you can handle the truth Rain.  My real assignment is to arrest you and bring you in to justice.
